We will take the furniture, strip it bare and then rebuild it using materials and methods from the period when your piece of furniture was first built. We use materials such as animal hair, coir fibre, rubberised hair, coil springs, felts and hessians to achieve an authentic feel and look.
We have given you a visual example below. This piece of furniture came to us with damaged joint work and tattered and dilapidated upholstery, thus was in need of our restoration and reupholstery services.

We took this piece of furniture back to the bare frame, then knocked apart all the mortise and tenant joints, cleaned them up and re-glued them. All show wood was treated with wire wool and waxing.
The
upholstery was then restored using all traditional methods and materials up to a calico, first covering, then top covered in the fabric of the clients choice. This particular piece of furniture was trimmed using a double piped edge.
